About the Artist

Holly's Backyard Art Studio

Holly North is a painter residing in Durham, North Carolina, working from her backyard studio nestled in her family garden. She draws inspiration from connecting with the natural world by putting her hands in the earth and witnessing a seed blossom into a magnificent flower. Flowers have an intelligence that speaks to her. Her paintings tend to be vibrant in color, lending the viewer a transmission of the beauty observed from the world around us. The title of her body of work is “Exploring Our True Nature”. She explores the connection between all things in the Universe through mindfulness practice. By observing her inner world and the outer world closely, she discovers how interdependent we are with one another and with nature. She seeks to connect the individualized aspects of the whole, while simultaneously celebrating the diversity of each fragment. By sharing her art with the world she hopes to help make a change in human consciousness from separation to unity. Holly is producing commission work at request.
